The Summit Choral Society has been creating unique, beautiful musical experiences for many years. Growing from a tight group of friends sharing their talents with each other to a really fantastic community choir. I couldn’t be prouder than to be a part of this group.

“Inspired by my Grandma Bruno’s love of music I sang in various choirs since age 5. When I moved to Summit county I was thrilled to find an excellent community based choral group. Who doesn’t love a season of classical pieces, show tunes, and Christmas music! I enjoy the reversal process and seeing each work of music transform from sight reading to performance ready. I’m so happy to be a part of this wonderful group!”

I have sung in either a school or church choir since grade school. However, I am not an accomplished singer…. but, I love music… When I attended a Summit Choral Society concert a few years ago, heard their wonderful sound and learned they were a non-auditioned choir, I thought “WOW, I want to be part of that!”

I’ve been a choral singer since High School, have sung with choirs in Denver, Durango, Santa Fe and with the Summit Choral Society since 2021.I sang at Carnegie Hall with the Cherry Creek Chorale (Brahms Requiem, 1993) and again with Durango Choral Society (Mozart Requiem, 2009) and toured eastern Europe in 2010 with the Durango choir. My personal motto: Music Heals Our World. I’m a clinical social worker and therapist for young children and their families.

I have been singing most my life in many different ways from choirs to solo to musical theater. I had a couple of patients tell me about the choir, perhaps because I tend to sing while I work. I love Summit County and the people who live here. It is truly a privilege to be involved as much as possible.

I have been singing as far back as I can remember. Every time we moved, one of the first things I had to find was a group to sing with. We moved here to Colorado in 2014, and as soon as I found out about the Summit Choral Society, I was in!

To sing with a group of neighbors and friends took me from the shower to Carnegie Hall.
It’s fun, no audition, and people helped me learn to read music. After a performance I always go to sleep with music accompaniment for my dreams.
